Congratulations, you have already created your distribution list. What makes it exceptional is the ease with which you can edit your contact list. How can you achieve that? Simply click Contacts in the Navigation Pane, and then double-click the name of the name of the person whose details needs to be edited. Outlook will take you the same screen you used to create the distribution list. While on this screen you can make all the changes you wanted to do on the contact list.

Import the addresses you have passive or active permission to add, then remove that list from your address book and promise yourself never to spam your personal address book again. Make sure the first newsletter after you’ve imported people to your list or changed your groups around includes the “update subscription preferences” link front and center!

For automatic renewals, try using an autoresponder that sends users an alert that their account is about to be charged. You can load these notification emails with contact information for your customer care team, or links to pages where users can update their billing or shipping information. If your subscriptions don't autorenew, craft your drip campaign with a clear call to action, prompting users to re-up with your service. And for the users that do renew, be sure to send them a drip thanking them for staying with your service and perhaps prompt them to share your product with their friends.

Hi Scott, yes that is correct. Most platforms will not let you upload large customer lists if you do not have specific opt-in dates. However if you can provide the data when the user opted in to receive email notifications from you, then you would be able to import the list. These rules may vary based on different providers, but this is exactly the process for switching email service providers (you have to import customer list in the new provider).
